10tons Ltd Released 4 Games for PlayBook: Ironworm, Azkend, Sparkle & Joining Hands – Now in App World!
It didn’t take long for us to get wind of the 4 new games from 10tons Ltd. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is awesome! Incredible to see developers like 10tons bring their concepts to the PlayBook! You won’t want to miss any of these titles.
Ironworm is the first of the 4. And possibly my favorite of the bunch. Quote from www.10tons.com: “Ironworm is an action packed platformer that uses an interesting worm physics concept developed at 10tons.”
This game is a visual delight. I felt captivated immediately by the art style and smooth framework. But the play on Iron Maiden is by far my favorite bit. You smash through levels with ironworm blasting bugs & guts as “Kablooms” and “Pows” make each advance an interesting one. Including a gnarly guitar soundtrack, this is one of my favorite new games.

Azkend, the second game is a breathtaking puzzle game where you string together items on the board to unleash chain reactions of 3 or more items! I haven’t had a chance to play this one yet, though I can already tell it will be among my families favorite new games as well.
10tons Azkend has you interacting with multiple items, earning trophies, talismans, to create a rich experience unique to many other puzzle style games flooding the market today. Spend just a minute watching the YouTube video and you’ll see just what I mean.

Sparkle, 3 of 4 is one of the best looking match 3 in the style of Zuma and many before it games we’ve seen on the PlayBook to date. Sparkle takes users into the blackened forest of Crowberry Woods where you’ll explore 3 different game modes.
I can say with confidence that we’ve all seen many of this style of sling and blast 3 or more of the same color-games in our days. But only a few are truly engaging. By the looks of the video and just a few moments I caught of my lady playing Sparkle, it may be among the most popular of the 4 games released. There’s nothing basic or boring about this or any of the titles released by 10tons.

Joining Hands is the 4th game and appears to be the most inventive. Genre labeled as puzzle game, but unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. In this game we’re introduced to Peablins. The Peablins live in the Whispering Woods, they like to hold hands to avoid being taken by the Bogeyman.
Gameplay consists of dragging and dropping Peablins so that all hands in the level are joined and Peablins are happy. Leave no Peablin behind!
