How often do you find yourself with a “Low Battery” warning on your device? It’s always an untimely event. Well RichardSolo has made a wonderful device that will hopefully help many of you out called the 1800 for BlackBerry Smartphones. And I’ve found it to be quite lovely to have in these dire situations.

Now using the 1800 almost everyday. I can say it’s best in situations where your not holding the phone such as driving or traveling on foot. You simply charge the device up for about 5 hours, unplug, toss it in your bag, purse, or what have you and all of a sudden you begin to feel at ease about your Smartphone and it’s seemingly constant need for an outlet. I personally am running 10 applications in my 9550′s backround at least at all times. I know your thinking crazy! Too many, but I need to have things like SocialScope, UberTwitter, Xobni, SmrtGuard, Ultimate Lock, Do Not Disturb and more constantly running or I have to bother with loading them and waiting, then I no longer have the convenience of using these applications to the fullest of their abilities.

I often joke that I’d be set if I just had a car battery in my backpack attached to my BlackBerry Smartphone to enjoy the constant use. We RichardSolo.com has really made this a reality with the 1800 minus the weight and hazard of an actual car battery. The 1800 is a battery as well but it comes in at just 2.3 oz [67.6 gm] And it’s quite compact as well measuring 2″ x 7/16″ x 4 3/8″ [5.3 x 1.3 x 11.2 cm] The picture tells a different story making it seem a bit larger. But I was surprised to see it fit nicely in my pocket without feeling bulky. Also in the box you get both mini-USB and micro-USB cables since some models use one or the other. Making it compatible with any and all BlackBerry Smartphone models. Also is compatible with the T-Moble G1 and recently I noticed it works swimmingly with the new HTC EVO 4G which I know many of you also own now.
