This would be my 3rd Seidio case in the past 6 months, first for the Bold 9930. After a Christmas day-like unwrapping, I was pleasantly surprised by the tiny details. Cut-outs around the mic, speaker and the rivets at the base. The exterior skeleton grips the impact absorbing polymer like a claw. I’ve found it built quite well and the 2 piece architecture makes for easy removal of my Bold.

Out of the box – you discover 2 packages, one contains the ACTIVE case [2 pieces], the other is your ACTIVE Holster [1 piece]. As I said previously the ACTIVE case is very user friendly to install and remove, combined with the ACTIVE Holster Seidio proves why they sell this at a semi discounted rate.. reason: they’re much better together. The case glides right into the Holster and the spring clip locks it safely in place. I’ve used both in the Holster and in the pocket just about equally.

Road tested – the ACTIVE case has gotten about 7 drops out of me. This is a very high number for me to be honest. I don’t know if it was because I’ve been so busy over the last 2 weeks between DevCon and family affairs or if it’s just plain ol’ klutziness. Either way it’s gotten to the point where I don’t tense up as much when I see it drop in this case. The impact absorbing polymer case underneath is the real soldier here. I imagine 4 wheel tires on a Jeep when I think about this case on my Bold 9930. It has a medium size with a huge strength. The design is attractive and feel inside my hand is very comfortable. The only real issue I’ve had with this case is the side button. All the side buttons are easily accessible but the polymer is thinnest at the side button, making accidental presses quite common. But it’s a small price to pay for all the comfort, style and dependability.
