Google+ has been a pretty cool new way to connect socially over the web and most smartphones for quite some time now, even the API has been available to developers but it hadn’t really gone anywhere for BlackBerry users past a launched for your device. Until now!
With Smarter Apps latest product release we are finally able to use and connect with Google+ right from our BlackBerry smartphones in a sleek (user friendly) interface. App for Google+ is a FREE Beta compatible with OS 5.0 to 7.1 smartphones.

I was a pretty big fan of Google+ when it first went into beta. The only thing that was missing at the time was business accounts. I still dig the Google+ Share on buttons that rest nicely over blog post. But to be honest I really haven’t interacted with my friends or timeline on plus much in the past 4-5 months.
But now I will be making more appearances on Google+ thanks to Smarter Apps clever idea to make this app. The UI is really tasty.. did I say that already? I truly love getting SA’s press posts. They almost always end up on my personal devices. This team has really come a long way. Most BlackBerry users know who Smarter Apps are, so it shouldn’t be too tough to make this app the standard. All I ask is that they continue to support feature requests and updates down the road.
As of yesterday they’d actually already posted a Bug Fix. Not to sure what it fixed but that’s good to see the support coming so quickly.
One of the few features that are missing is the ability to use Messenger on this app. Hardly something I would complain about but I don’t use Messenger very often. It does appear to be coming too though, so you can look forward to that as well.
