Now this one totally caught me off guard. HedoneDesign released a new theme called B77. The theme mimics Windows 7 style and is compatible only for BlackBerry Bold 9900, 9930 & 9981 users on OS 7.0-7.1.
B77 may come for other device and OS’s later but HedoneDesign/i-Mentalist is pretty busy nowadays so I wouldn’t get my hopes up. It’s not the first Windows style theme they’ve made but surely a nice surprise.
Remember theme developers are going through quite a bit just to get these on BlackBerry 7 devices. There’s more new guys and plenty of casual builders popping themes in App World everyday. But very few look this good. In my opinion.
Hedone glazes the whole theme to give you the shiny new feeling you deserve with your BlackBerry. Skinned most all of the icons, including the extras OS 7.x allows. I only see a couple left out that could have taken a new coat. Small complaint. Everything else looks great! I love this custom wallpaper from Pootermobile more with mine. BlackBerry World 2012 needs all the love it can get.
B77 isn’t a theme that most everyday users will buy though. It is priced very high at $6.99. So it’s up to the consumer to decide if this is worth the value of the dollars it costs. I’ve been rocking it for a couple days and love the icons, focus, greens & blues. All around a nice improvement from starting at the stock theme. Hit the link below for more info!
