After a few leaks crawled out last week about BBM Music coming it seems Research In Motion saw fit to make the news official, and we couldn’t be more excited! Inside BlackBerry announced a new BBM Connected application that goes by the fancy BBM Music will be available later this year for a monthly subscription fee of $4.99 USD plus tax and later will come in as a free trial option too.

But the best feature is with BBM Music friends users can connect to share & discover more music together! BBM Connect is getting better by the app it would seem. Even if your friends haven’t signed up for a subscription, they’ll soon be able to get in the action over a trial period, giving users access to each others tunes!

BBM Music has been designed to allow you to:

  • Build your music profile from a Catalog of millions of tracks (with more to be added over the coming weeks)
  • Invite friends to BBM Music from your BBM contacts and gain access to their music and share your music (once they subscribe or join the free trial)
  • Create playlists from your BBM Music songs plus your friends’ songs
  • Share playlists or single songs with BBM Music friends
  • Follow your friends’ BBM Music activity via timelines and comments, or start up a BBM chat about your favorite bands
  • Cache music for easy offline listening
  • Seamless integration with other BlackBerry music services

It’s like a non-stop party for BlackBerry owners lately. I know I keep saying how very impressed I am and Berryfication as a blog is thriving off their positive energy lately. There’s a reason users will see 4-5 RIM related posts when they visit Berryfication.com now. RIM is finally leading their own race again. And I have a lot more smile wrinkles because of it.
