Holiday themes rarely make an appearance in this section. As a matter of fact I do believe this is the first. No surprise Team HedoneDesign backed this one here. SnowFlake is a theme designed to keep users in that “winter” spirit, maybe unintentionally also building steam for the big years end Holidays as well.
As expected the navigation is perfect. Some of the menu’s are high defined with smaller fonts, yet this tends to look better in a crowded list of options that most users will find in their menu’s. This is due to so many apps now adding more items to your menu’s. Larger fonts just create more work for users. If you have trouble seeing smaller fonts we believe this can be remedied with eye glasses or contact lenses. The structure is basic yet works and feels special with the option to show 1 or 2 rows of icons. Then even will hide completely to give you a chance to show off the stunning image shown below. This is also an animated theme with a lifelike snowfall.
Working out a stunning design with the right amount of transparencies and maintaining high quality is not easy to do with a white theme. Most white themes come out looking abysmal. Not SnowFlake. Instead of killing the views with all white, Hedone brings in an icy blue which works quite well. The icon-set we consider to be a timeless set already. HedoneDesign made a good choice both style wise and possibly budget wise reusing this set.
Functional and chilled. This is cool and clever work for users to enjoy throughout the season. With the Snow in it’s white essence brings a flawless uncluttered feel to the build. SnowFlake is delicate and pure. Most users will be delighted by this product as our judges had only on complaint which was about homescreen navigation. Sometimes the if you aren’t careful, the 1 or 2 rows of icons get hidden by itchy trigger fingers. There you have it. A theme for the cold season, NOTE: we all enjoyed ours indoors!
