Developer XiMAD who I had not previously heard of arrived with this challenging new puzzle game Brain Cube, seemingly overnight. With an impressive visual design I was quickly reminded of the great games I frequent on iTouch but this one looks this good on BlackBerry!

Brain Cube is compatible with 4.6 to 6.0 OS and includes both non-touch and touch phones. Developer XiMAD actually has a very nice catalog of games for every platform known to geek check em out here http://www.ximad.com/.

The night it showed up in the Berryfication Store I picked it up. I since contacted the developer as I usually will if we aren’t already in contact, but received no response. This always troubles me when it comes to support in general since we are a fairly popular BlackBerry site. Not to toot our own horn but no response is no response. And that passes down to users too. But maybe the email was spammed, hacked or lost by the virtual postal carrier? :)

If your familiar with this style of puzzler, maybe you played it before maybe not. The objective is to roll a cube that’s actually a rectangle through different environments filled with traps and mazes. The gameplay definitely shines bright though. It is very simple to grasp but at times numbingly challenging. I found it’s almost easier just to get a little sloppy in hopes of getting the rectangular cube in the right position to clear some of the mazes.

I noticed it was a bit pricey when it first launched but the price has since gone down to $1.99 which is very reasonable. Then it’s just $0.99 at BlackBerry App World. So either way your getting a deal. I’d love to see what these guys have planned for PlayBook or the Berry’s of the future too!
