Terra Mobility Updated their powerful utility application BuddyGuard Pro last week to version1.5.0.9 This is some pleasing news. And one of my most adored apps! I would feel stripped and my BlackBerry would be shy without it.
BuddyGuard Pro1.5 has welcomed so many awesome features. It’s aesthetically pleasing. 100% functional. Oh and it’ll save your butt in more ways than one!
The description reads: Protect your BlackBerry and personal data with remote Alert, Lock, Locate, Backup and Wipe. Yeah if that doesn’t sound great wait till you hear about all the New features!
New features such as the *PANIC ALERT allows you to send emergency notifications containing a message and your location to multiple contacts! You can set-up to send an Email, SMS and/or initiate a Phone Call. Talk about covering all your avenues. *Improvements to the reliability of the LOCATE COMMAND. *All New Integration with the device Contacts for easier email and phone numbers lookup (shown in 1st screenshot below). *Larger toggle switched inside the Options screens. *Streamlined Welcome screens plus added access for setting up optional features (also shown in 1st screenshot). *Varies minor bug fixes.
Main features include *ALERT helps you find your missing phone by playing a tone. This tone will be heard even when the phone is on vibrate or silent. *LOCK secures your BlackBerry by locking it and displaying your contact information. It will remain in this state until you enter the proper password. It’s so safe that even a battery-pull/reboot won’t unlock it! *LOCATE uses the BlackBerry’s GPS and sends you a link to the mapped location of your device. *BACKUP remotely backup your Contacts. Use this feature to archive your current Contacts or save them if you need to wipe the device. *LIST emails you a listing of the data on your BlackBerry, this allows you to first verify what the wipe will do prior or (without) actually doing so. *WIPE remotely wipes your BlackBerry to prevent someone from accessing your personal data. Removes Calendar, Contacts, Emails, Phone Logs, Memos, Tasks and Files in your SD Card and in your Device Memory both! *HELP will send you a listing of available Commands.
Now think long and hard about it…Does $3.99 sound like a lot to pay for all this^ security? Not for us. And not for me. I’ve been running with BuddyGuard Pro now BuddyGuard Pro v1.5 by Terra Mobility with some really nicely flavored treats. I’d pay $3.99 for a fraction of these features.
