RIM let us know this morning that their BlackBerry Bridge application is now available to AT&T Customers. This is great news of course and is a relief to many BlackBerry Torch 9800 users who had to find other means of installation through sources even we don’t approve.

BlackBerry Bridge makes it possible to view and use 8 very important functions between your BlackBerry Smartphone and the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. Most are native to the BlackBerry Smartphone devices AT&T supports but now with the Bridge feature, those customers can see and use those same features “mirrored” onto the BlackBerry PlayBook.
A few days ago my one and only tipped me off to a new mobile site that AdaptiveBlue of GetGlue were working on. For some reason she really didn’t think much about it but nonetheless she was invited and had been using it on her BlackBerry for a few days. Soon as I caught wind of it I immediately pulled it up on the BlackBerry PlayBook, and ooh, ahh!

Finally GetGlue looks great on the PlayBook. These guys were some of the first developers I contacted on PlayBook launch day, hoping to get great feedback on. Of course I remember not feeling good about the response I received but at least they’ve done this for all the GetGlue fans.

Ever since it’s release the BlackBerry Travel application by RIM has been one of the most attractive products on any smart-phone. Seeing this is a 1st party application, it’s only sown more accountability into just how talented and serious RIM is about making quality products that users like you and I adore.

BlackBerry Travel has now been updated to v1.1, and it’s absolutely Free in BlackBerry App World. For those who travel, both lightly and regularly, this app was built with your every need in mind. The features are plenty. Check out the full press release below.
I’m choked up again by RIM! Why? Well just look at the newest Twitter for BlackBerry update v2.0.0.15! We’ve always used this client for our Berryfication tweets but in the last few updates I switched my personal client to Twitter for BlackBerry as well and let me tell you I have not been disappointed since.

When I woke up today and looked at my timeline the first thing I noticed was a new update. I forced myself not to look at any images or other site posts, in hopes of some nice new features. Although my intuition told me it would be a maintenance update. And luck have it, I was absolutely incorrect! That never happens.
The latest Twitter for BlackBerry beta v2.0 shows just how awesome being a BlackBerry Beta Zone member can be as well as being a part of Team BlackBerry. This build is was primarily driven by user feedback according to - Inside BlackBerry.
As soon as I saw this new Avatar Builder application from RIM I couldn’t help but feel like I had just opened one of the big presents on Christmas. This is one of those apps I would’ve thought RIM would have us testing in the BlackBerry Beta Zone a very long time ago.

And now that the competition has struck a nerve with their new copycat Messenger service it’s only right that Research In Motion comes out with the guns, big and little!
What a great treat for BlackBerry PlayBook owners on a Thursday morning. Today RIM announced BlackBerry News v1.0 for BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.

As soon as I opened BlackBerry News on my PlayBook I was immediately greeted with all my news feeds from the BlackBerry News Feeds on BlackBerry via my BlackBerry ID. Grab BlackBerry News for BlackBerry PlayBook here. Read the full press release below.
BlackBerry News allows a user to consolidate and access all of their subscription-based (RSS) content feeds within one app on the BlackBerry PlayBook. New feeds can be easily added by browsing the content library, or searching for specific keywords or URLs.
The app also comes with pre-populated feeds from top news sites providing instant access to popular content from multiple providers on a variety of topics. Categories include: Arts & Entertainment, Business, Health & Lifestyle, News Headlines, Science & the Environment, Technology, and Travel.
The BlackBerry News app for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet has been optimized for the tablet screen, and leverages the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet’s gesture-based navigation including:
* Touching the “News Library” button feeds to easily find and add new feeds
* Using the BlackBerry PlayBook bezel drop-down gesture from the “My News” home screen pulls up the options menu to update content, or edit and delete any subscriptions
* Selecting a subscription provides an abbreviated summary view of articles within that news feed, allowing for quick scanning of content
* Swiping left on the tablet screen turns the page
The BlackBerry News Feed application for BlackBerry smartphones was introduced by RIM last year, and customers that use the BlackBerry news feed apps on both their BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and BlackBerry smartphone will have their subscriptions automatically brought over and synced up between their devices based on their BlackBerry ID.
This application is currently available in the US and Canada, and will be available in other countries later this year.

In light of the sweet little bump BlackBerry PlayBook just received http://www.berryfication.com/new-tablet-os-v1-0-5-update-for-blackberry-playbook/ here, there was also another treat inside. Facebook for BlackBerry PlayBook was pushed up to v1.0.40!

This is the 3rd update we’ve seen for the native Facebook for BlackBerry PlayBook tablet in a short time. And to think I was worried trying to figure out how they’d push these out with no beta access to RIM products on PlayBook. Hopefully that will change over time.
NEW FEATURES v1.0.40
- • Video uploading
• Facebook Search enhancements
• Improved access to Pages
• Message deletion
• News Feed improvements

The PlayBook has been out for a little while now, and I just realized we hadn’t posted any quality FREE product reviews even though there are quite a lot of them. I choose Memory Game for multiple devices by ByYourSite BV because it’s the first game that’s really entertained all my kids at the same time.

They added the multiple devices since this product is available for other touch screen devices besides the BlackBerry Tablet 1.x OS that I’ve downloaded it for.
If your like me and you require new and unique ways to discover content on the web, Pipeline Pro by Magnoware may hit you in all the right spots. Besides giving you access to Google Reader, RSS & Atom, Weather, and more.. Pipeline does so efficiently and very elegantly.

I haven’t seen a more beautiful 3rd party product on PlayBook previous to Pipeline Pro. Magnoware Systems, Inc. is a leader in information management and content software. They seem to be the perfect team to back a product like this.
