Will Robertson of Many Notes fame is back with another clever application. And I’m loving it! Compose Mail for BlackBerry PlayBook is a FREE application that allows users to quickly compose an email using portrait or landscape and launch it right inside the 2.0 PIM Messages app.
Compose Mail is absolutely FREE with nothing else to buy or upgrade. The idea is similar to the native Compose app in BlackBerry smartphones.

Well first they teased us. Then we all assumed it would released by the following day.. no? ..Friday.. No.. How about a Tuesday, April the 24th for Angry Birds Space to hit the BlackBerry PlayBook? Okay that’s the day. Today we can finally enjoy some Space Birds.
Angry Birds Space is an awesome multiplatform game that needs no introduction. Rovio Entertainment has proven once again that they’re clearly having a blast making these games. The latest version of BlackBerry App World v3.1.2.32 began to roll out last night as noticed by BlackBerry Empire. I wasn’t patient enough to wait for it, so I rolled out the old usb cable and pushed my update through the PC.
New Features in BlackBerry App World 3.1.2.32:
° Find an app in “My World” by typing a keyword term
°“Other Devices” filter view in “My World” allows you to filter out apps not available for your device e.g. PlayBook Apps
°Announce downloads to BBM Status
°NFC is now an additional method to share a single app (for 7.1 users)
°A new “Share” channel in the App World Home page allows you to share your app list via NFC (for 7.1 users)
°Various Bug Fixes

Taking a screenshot with your BlackBerry or PlayBook has become one of the most popular functions over the past few years. And one app has maintained an almost native name with BlackBerry smartphones. That name is Screen Muncher. But how is the app, and which version do I want?

The Wikimedia Foundation recently released this FREE Wikipedia application for our beloved BlackBerry PlayBook. This has to be one of my favorite sites to use for a quick reference on just about anything. Now anyone who’s using tablet 2.x or higher can enjoy the privilege as well.
You must have BlackBerry Tablet 2.0 or higher installed for this Wikipedia to function properly. We’re pretty sure most users do but if you don’t the latest OS yet, get more info here.
Get ready to grip your PlayBook tight! PewPew 2 by Jean-François Geyelin is now available and it’s like dropping liquid adrenaline into your eyeballs. Fireworks of fun. An almost illegal addiction. I can’t put this game down.
PewPew 2 follows the also muliplatform first title PewPew which is still FREE & received an average of 4 and half stars from 800+ PlayBook users.
I don’t know how they do it but MMMOOO has made another great application offering both a FREE or Paid version. The app is Mega Smileys. It’s been available less than 2 weeks now and already 1,115 App World reviews have averaged 4 and a half stars.
Mega Smileys is exactly the type of application the title suggests. Only with a lot more content. After you download the FREE version, MMMOOO still offers the option to leave a review and get the full license unlocked. Not a bad deal.

This is my favorite of all the new updates today. The new BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.0 [Bundle 59] beta adds some nice features for Outlook & Lotus users. They’ve also made numerous improvements to the Organizer (PIM) Sync features.
