It’s good to know that rezn has a good sense of humor. He knows I am the older member of the fine team he has put together so I was not surprised when he asked me to review a game that is almost 400 years old, no I am not that old but sometimes feel like it.

I will tell you now that any game by Concrete Software is a pleasure to review and this one was no different and in line with the 2 from them on my phone now.

QuickLaunch 3.0 by NikkiSoft is Here folks! Exploding onto BlackBerry 9700 users devices today and is the Highest anticipated update since OS6.0.

Strip my BlackBerry of all it’s extra’s. Take it all away. Fine. But leave me my QuickLauch or I’ll punch your eyes out! We’ll crack your teeth in half. That’s no doubt a small understatement. As you all know QuickLaunch is constantly referred to by us here at Berryfication because it has become a staple in our everyday lives.

If there’s one name that BlackBerry users have continuously kept their thumbs locked on it’s IM+ and SHAPE Services has seen the results rally with a customer base into 7 digits.

Now they’ve even added and IM+ Lite version for the undecided to make that crucial choice of which IM Client is best for them. And for SHAPE Services that was damn kind of them!

Good Video Browser by Almoko

I’ll be frank. I’ve always been disappointed with RIM’s media center’s on the BlackBerry devices. Yes you can watch any video, view any photos, and record sound bytes. But the naming convention is horrible and only with photos can you view thumbnails. Up steps Almoko with their Good Video Browser application!

Videos transferred from your PC or taken with your phone camera can all be found in a nice, clear, enjoyable gallery of thumbnails!

Did you know your Blackberry has a built in countdown timer and if so do you use it? I do all the time for any number of reasons but it is very limited and basic with the only option available to set the count down time. Vorino Software Inc. has a solution to that with their application simply named ‘Preset Timer.’

Preset Timer comes loaded with 24 timers and a vast array of options to give the user a total customization look and feel. All 24 timers are editable and can be set to start from 1 second to 23:59:59 (h – m – s).

With the sudden popularity in health conscience Smartphone users, RadGuard by SBSH Mobile Software couldn’t find a better time to show it’s gorgeous face!

I remember some 15 years ago or so the nightly news reported about cellular phone’s causing enough radiation to maybe give those (wealthier individuals) a future of misery. Ha ha! It wasn’t our problem though, not back then. But today it’s abnormal not to own a Smartphone right?

Who doesn’t love to find things in photo’s? The NEW Photo Quest game by BBerryGo is the most addictive game I’ve ever played on my BlackBerry period!

Ever since BBerryGo did the Show Me The Images app. One I rely on at least 50 times per day. I knew these guys needed our undivided attention. And that’s just what we’ve given them. Photo Quest is so much fun it reminds me of Nintendo’s Gameboy.

Vault v1.1 by Vimukti Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Are you as concerned about your privacy as I am? With today’s huge risk of stealing identities we all need to protect our private information as best we can and I have a lot of information on my Blackberry that is hidden but not nearly as protected as I would like. If we could put this information in a Vault and carry it with us we would all feel safer butexhausted too!

Vimukti Technologies Pvt Ltd. has made that a whole lot easier with their application simply named ‘Vault.’ It does everything I need it to do in protecting a wealth of information that in the wrong hands can be devastating to me. A simple but very effective application Vault gives you a secure feeling knowing your information on your Blackberry is very safe if lost or stolen.

With a whopping 17 predefined forms or cards on my 9700 there is more than enough for you to organize and protect your data, from Credit cards to Bank information to notes and passwords this is one application that will stay on my Blackberry for sure, plus you can add extra cards as needed. I am very impressed with this application as it is extremely user friendly with no complicated menus that can turn off most users, just install, set your password and you are ready to secure your data.

You are prompted to create a 4 digit code that can be changed as often as you like and a big plus is the information you enter is encrypted for even better security. There is also a very handy backup/restore option for those of us that like or need to upgrade our OS but be able to restore settings as well. Just create a backup and if you need to you can restore all your information just as you entered it.

Pocket Yoga v1.1 by Vimukti Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Are you a Yogi? No, not a character from Star Wars but the name used for someone who practices the Art of Yoga. As defined, Yoga refers to traditional physical and mental disciplines originating in India.

I have always been intrigued with Yoga and the benefits of what it can do for someone who believes in it. I have never attempted Yoga, although sometimes I wish I did to have better control of the mental discipline it has to offer. Yoga is designed to improve strength, balance, posture and flexibility all of which I am sorely lacking.

Finally a game on my 9550 that I actually can’t stop playing. Tank Recon 3D by Lone Dwarf Games is far superior to any other game I’ve ever seen on BlackBerry.

Tank Recon 3D may look complicated to a new user but let me assure you I’m not the best gamer anymore and I’m rockin the shh out this baby!!
