To celebrate their third birthday, theme specialists HedoneDesign is offering up a great discount to BlackBerry users. The past two years they’ve created specialty themes and left them as FREE (pretty awesome themes at that!). Well, this year, they are offering all of their themes at discounted prices from $0.99 to $2.99 until Sunday, December 10th.

Now that I don’t have direct access to themes on my BlackBerry, I think it’s a little obvious that I’m slumping into a depression about my love for RIM and everything I once paraded so hard for. HedoneDesign released Avio and I couldn’t just sit by without getting my hands into it, so I grabbed a friends Style 9670 and activated it!
Avio surprised me quite a bit! Immediately I was trying to slap the homescreen with my thumbs only to be reminded that I was using a BlackBerry 6.0 device. But that was the small complaint, and hardly the developer’s problem.
This is a piece of art, a deeper expressive design chalk full of custom made icons, svg, menus, fonts and more. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Hedone take this much time to create such a rich original theme.
The time has come when I cannot install a BlackBerry theme. With my 9650 sold and the 9930 missing the software, luck would have it that bbt Designs just finished up an all new full featured theme. POP is vibrant, fun and the kind of style RIM should have known was coming.

One of my favorite types of themes is a style that’s not so over-the-top that you need a roadmap to get through it. Much like BGT, theme builder bbthemelab puts his own unique touch on iReplica – his latest! Complete with custom icons & mirrored icons on the bottom dock!

This is a theme you must purchase. Inotia is far more original and technology advanced than 99% of themes made for BlackBerry today. RIM should be using themes like this in their ad-campaigns. Do they really think they’re better off without Mobster Mobile Design or others in newer devices?!

Another beautiful design built SamgbxDesigns. Combining simple, attractive and highly digible wallpapers Circulo takes another stab at the cool homescreen widget made popular by Android phones. But this time he’s slipped in a row of user defined icons as well, so everyone wins!
Circulo is compatible with BlackBerry 6 & 5 devices only. This includes Curve, Pearl, Storm, Bold, Style and Torch devices. Only appears 9000 is not compatible. If you have a 5-6.0 device the $2.99 asking price is quite generous for the quality.
After RIM axed an entire culture. Themes mean jobs- lot’s of them, independent artists working towards their next cash cow. Turning your BlackBerry into something beyond the hum-drum is what sets BlackBerry apart from iPhone & Android because it’s supported.. usually. BGT knows themes very well.
Desire is BerryGoodThemes latest build, and it’s going to be one of his best selling I have no doubt in my mind. Many of my all time favorite themes are built by Mr. Themes, he’s got a real knack for marrying simplicity and creativity.
A new product from the team at HedoneDesign titled Wave has just been released. Right after they released their first PlayBook app VCMS under i-Mentalist part of the Psycher Group.

You know the name, Mobster Mobile Design has been steady building lately, despite the lack of Theme Studio software for OS 7.0 devices. For now we’ll just have to overlook that and set our sights on MMD’s awesome new theme TheGrid! Inspired by an OS by FusionGarage, this is one you can’t miss!

It’s nice to see some Theme Builders are still working to keep their skills sharp, especially more hopefully with the possibility of Theme Studio 7 coming out soon. This time BerryGlowDesigns is back and he’s packing 2 color options: Pinque & Inque! Both unique.
I chose to show the Pinque image up top, only because it felt a little more striking immediately. The Inque color is far more my style however. These themes are compatible with many devices spanning OS 5.0 & 6.0 see post tags for complete list.
bbt Designs brings us back, back to what I love about RIM and the ability to make your device your own! His latest, MetroUI has me screaming inside! “WHERE IS THEME STUDIO 7?!” This theme is sick and deserves a right to be on my Bold 9930 as well as the Bold 9650.
MetroUI is currently available on BlackBerry 6.0 devices, specifically Curve 9300, 9330, Bold 9650, 9700, 9780, 9788 & Torch 9800. Mainly due to a lack of software from RIM. Either way bbt assured us More Devices Coming soon!
