OtterBox really does own this genre with the Defender Series Case for Bold 9650 devices, they still never cease to amaze us! I felt a bit more protection around the 9650 than it seems some of the older devices have gotten. Improvements to great products are always invited at Berryfication.com! 
Notice the rugged look of this case for those of you who haven’t gripped one before they aren’t as bulky as they appear in photo’s or videos. In my opinion they are well contoured for my size hand. The 9650 and Defender Series Case for 9650 Bold series seemed like they we’re made to be married together. OtterBox spends a great amount of time molding every ounce around the device as well as product testing these babies.
After trying the 9550 Defender Series Case we knew every BlackBerry Smartphone device needed the same attention.
Inside-the-box: *You get the 3 Layers of Protection which consists of 2-plastic clip together pieces. They clip from top tp bottom and then the outer piece which wraps over these 2 plastic pieces and ties it all together. *There’s a Screen Protection kit with screen cover, a wipe cloth and installation card (to keep the air bubbles from appearing). *Also you’ll find the Ratcheting Belt Clip Holster. This being one of the key components to your Defender Series Case success story! The Belt Clip, clips on-to your belt and the Defender case with 9650 inside marries into that.
After spending some time with this case, no I didn’t try dropping any BlackBerry Smartphones in it. But after some myself and my Mom (whose 9650 was used) both decided this is one of the nicest cases we’ve seen yet on the 9650 Bold series Smartphones. Unfortunately she was rocking some awful rubbery case she picked up at her carrier prior to this case. Even her medium sized hands fit nicely with this tough guy case. She kept telling me she thought the case was worth more than the device. Though she’s not a die-hard like the rest of us. She’s my Mom, she’d probably have a Droid if she didn’t rely so heavily on email.
All together after all was said and done and I had to go back to my 9550 I decided it might also be less disheartening to use a 9650 Bold here in a bit (while waiting on the S3) so long as I get something like Defender Series has to offer once I do.
