With the creative invention of the BlackBerry PlayBook many users might notice the “practical” case isn’t exactly practical for everyday PlayBook use. That’s why I perked up when @SirPerdo83 told me about DODOcase for BlackBerry PlayBook!
This is the first case that’s actually made me want to take the PlayBook on an adventure. The idea of the DODOcase is that you can easily hold your PlayBook as easily as holding a medium sized book. Your PB fits inside closed/open with full access to all ports and the entire screen.
There’s various ways to hold/display your PlayBook and the DODOcase is made from black Moroccan cloth. The design process uses the same craft as traditional book binding are made. My PlayBook feels pretty secure in the solid core bamboo. I took pictures too but the promo images DODOcase has look much better and still don’t look as great as the actual bamboo and real book feel I’ve received while holding my PlayBook inside. Each corner is reinforced with a soft bumper so the PlayBook maintains it’s form and perfection.
One of the first adventures I took my DODOcase on would first bring the PlayBook into the car. I connected the 3.5 mm jack into my car stereo and was able to set the case with PB inside onto the passenger seat where I could glance over to see what was playing. I liked the idea that I could easily unplug and close the case which protects all sides of the PlayBook from scratches, clumsiness and dust for the most part. One area shown in the picture above is not protected. But it is pretty slick I can charge with the case closed too!
Having that versatility of a book closed and secured with the convince of a case for the tablet makes a lot more sense to me than trying to travel and keep the 7-inch PlayBook safe from harm and unexpected mishaps. Kudos to DODOcase for their invention!
The DODOcase for BlackBerry PlayBook retails for $59.95 and is available in one of 4 Colors: Red, Sky Blue, Green, and Charcoal. According to shipping options I don’t see any discrepancies in where they’re willing to ship you one. But check out http://www.dodocase.com/ first to be sure. Normally I wouldn’t look for something like this. But I’m glad I found it.
