Fitted for BlackBerry Bold 9650 by Speck

Ah the fashionable case is finally here! In my very hands I do believe Speck’s Fitted for BlackBerry 9650 is one of the most handsome cases I’ve ever held. Actually it is in fact a ‘snap-on’ style case that adds a medium level of protection and a lot of suave!

Speck isn’t often referred to or talked about in the popular BlackBerry blogs for the fact that our Berryfication Store a MobiHand Powered Store just desn’t stock them. But that’s no reason we can’t take samples and give you our thoughts on their products therefore helping you make better buying decisions when shopping around for what’s right for you!

Once I actually discovered that Speck even made cases for the BlackBerry devices we all admire so much, I just had to get one. And the response from our followers on Twitter as well as my daily routines have proved a lot of people are interested in this type of company and cases like this one here. I got a lot of replies from the pictures posted on Twitter as well as people stopping me in public to ask what case do you have! And oddly what phone do you have? Haha. But hey the real question people have is, is this case a good fit for me or for them? And my answer is yes and no. I like the look quite a bit, and I actually don’t need a lot of protection unless I’m going into some gnarled weather, then I’ll need a case that keeps the most possible water out of my Berry. So this Fitted Case worked pretty well for me in that regard. Now flip the coin over and I will have to say a few other things I noticed. One, Speck doesn’t have a lot of BlackBerry advertisements nor did I ever consider them a “Smartphone case maker” as much as a “iPhone Case maker” until discovering this case about a week ago.

I love the look of the case and it does snap-on and snaps-off easily. Mid-level protection is plenty for me as far as a fashionable case goes. But I don’t much care for the feel of the fabric in my palm after a couple days. The cozy feel of the plaid/white is semi interrupted by my old dry manly hands and fingers. Maybe if there was some sort of cover that could go over the fabric area, then I would love the feel of it too. The front piece is a more matted black plastic not a glossy and does fit the overall package more. I was also surprised not to see a screen-protection kit included with the case, especially for the price of $29.95. Though I knew what I was getting into, I guess I just hoped it would be there. Especially since 2 other leading accessory makers include screen-protector kits in every case from 19.95 and up. Like I said though, this is one captivating case and it never hurts to be sociable. I also like that the polyester can’t really get scratched and wear n tear will look sexy over time. Just as long as I don’t spill my 4 shot mocha breve on it!!
