Update theme baby! Five Point Nine (5.9) by WJD Designs has just received a very nice new set of updates bumping this baby up to the Big 3.0!

WJD Designs released Five Point Nine originally under the name OS 6 a short time ago. Now he’s worked up the original #1 selling theme at MobiHand (we refer to “the charts”) into an even saucier mix of 6.0 inspired trickery.

It’s hard to believe there could be many people or better yet theme collectors that may not have Five Point Nine already. If you do own it we suggest you get that update going. Little things you’ll notice right away are the cool digi-tech looking square dots that help guide you through the homescreen. They do look Hawt! Then I noticed this since it was a new build and didn’t update from the previous one I had saved in my application memory and that’s the transparent green you’ll see when moving your icons around the Applications View and inside the Folders. However this could have been a previous update since I didn’t have to move any icons around until this update came out. Don’t quote me there. Speaking of green I know this is new, when you highlight your emails to delete, flag, save ect you’ll notice the highlight color is a dark almost turf-green. Nice surprise there. When WJD came out with OS 6 if you look up at the promo you’ll see this, on the far right image in the very top right-hand corner the SMS/MMS icon was touched with Gold originally but down the line actually early on he changed that to the very lovable blue touch. This being one of my favorite icons on both. Makes me miss the 9530 and it’s ability to separate the SMS, from MMS icon, giving you two. Which could be custom had the Theme Builder responsible for said theme know of this little “best kept secret” we’ll say. I miss that feature myself.

The name change is one thing that really even stumped me the other day when I read the MobiHand Update email stating WJD had in fact updated a theme called Five Point Nine. For some reason I couldn’t wrap my head around what theme I should search for in my Saved pot of gold for, by WJD Designs. I own however many they made minus maybe two. Not just from having the honor of working the the Team at WJD Designs but because I am a fan, also a theme collector and still purchase product because that is the addiction right.  Before we part and you click on the Get it Here now love portal I must say WJD Designs has not only proven to the BlackBerry world to be an SVG MC but they really know how to inject the type of chemistry into their products that make us collectors really feel the essence and receive the message. It’s all there. From Opake, to Clockwork, SIX and back around to Five Point Nine. I really hope I can get my paws on the upcoming release so I can just gloat in the love parade. Enjoy.
