I feel like I’ve waited a year for this to happen. And finally it’s here! Pootermobile and friends Dave of BBThemes as well as Doug of drkapprentice have helped get pooters themes on your BlackBerry 7 device!
Rolling out first is Fresco. A theme previously released on OS 5.0 & 6.0 here. The new version for OS 7.0 devices: Curve 9350, 9360, 9370, Bold 9900, 9930. (Torch 9810, 9850, 9860 currently in beta COMING SOON).
Fresco is surely fresh. The definition: 1. Also called buon fresco, true fresco. the art or technique of painting on a moist, plaster surface with colors ground up in water or a limewater mixture. Compare fresco secco. 2. a picture or design so painted.
Like other Pootermobile themes Fresco offers new icons, a cool new banner across the top with Time, Signal, a weather spot. and a clever Battery meter ribbon. Other tweaks include menus, buttons, focus and the Media Player!
Pooter talks about why he can’t customize the way we once knew back in the OS 5.0 & 6.0 days. Unfortunately it just creates more issues everywhere. I’m not complaining. I’ve grown on simple but cohesive themes like this one. Fresco looks great with 3rd party icons even. Glad to see Pooter back in action for the today users too.
