Now before you go gunning for the comment box about how overrated Locking apps have become again, let me confess my recent addiction to them. Yes I too fell for the “sliding lock” post Storm days for my 9930. Most of them aren’t very responsive, not much changed.
This application, Easy Lock Pro by Bulbera is one of the simpler “locking apps” yet it cleverly does the job, works everywhere (including the Phone) and a quick flick-up ‘unlocks’ it.
Features:
° Works directly with the native BlackBerry® lock button
° Automatically locks when your backlight goes off
° Unlock is as easy as swiping with your finger
° Zero initial configuration
° Starts automatically when your BlackBerry® is powered on and runs silently in the background. However, you can easily turn it off at any time.
° Configurable background. Use one of the backgrounds coming with the application or select a picture from your device memory / SD card.
° Configurable sound effects
° Customizable widgets: clock, notifications (new emails, SMS, BBM etc.), battery level and signal strength.
° Option to disable auto locking on certain applications (either native or third-party). Very convenient for browsers, maps, readers and others.
° Option to lock during phone calls
° Works for non-touch screen devices as well (just use your trackpad)
Hands down, my favorite of the recent locking apps I’ve used. In all fairness Bulbera does have a series of these locks. Each offers a little stronger protection (full slider, pattern lock, key code etc). And out of say 9 of the last locks I’ve tried maybe 4 were from one other developer.

Okay maybe I was modest about the features, but Easy Lock Pro really is very simple, easy set up, options to add widgets to your homescreen. Plus options to disable in any and every application installed on your BlackBerry.
