After seeing the latest app from XLabz, ProInsights stirring up some positive attention over at BerryReview, I was reminded of another app they made recently, Groovy Notes for BlackBerry PlayBook. It’s one of the most detailed notes-tasks-reminder products available.

Groovy Notes is compatible with BlackBerry PlayBook and runs great on both stock & OS 2.0 beta. The application is currently priced at $4.99 which isn’t a lot considering the detail that went into this product.
FEATURES
° So many it’s difficult to name them all!

I’ve had this app for a good while now. It’s very useful. There’s a calendar which you can place your events, meetings, ideas, notes and more! Add in voice notes, tasks, filter by categories such as Conversation, Diary, To Do, Travel. Then you can create your own Tags: like Personal, School, CES, BlackBerry, Work.. the list goes on because they are create-your-own-tags.

The recent updates added one very exciting feature, Dropbox integration. So to break down the process, you build a Tast, To Do, or Quick Note (customize your own tabs) then you need to send this info to your Dropbox in .PDF, .TXT. or .MP3 (current note). Then assuming you have an app on your BlackBerry smartphone like Dropbox, FileScout etc. And within seconds you now have your file. I use this for grocery notes. It’s awesome considering my constant procrastination.

Besides exporting your current notes, you can also export All Notes as .PDF, .TXT, and .MP3 files. Backup your notes to Dropbox in whole. So therefore if you like to update your PlayBook OS often but aren’t big on backing it up all the time, you’ll be safe in knowing that Groovy Notes will always be backedup, and fully restored whenever needed.
Priced at $4.99 in BlackBerry App World currently. I’d say it’s a pretty good price to have all this and more. I’ve picked up quite a few of their apps and this one is one of my very favorites. My only gripe is the icon for Groovy Notes itself. Reminds me of iOS a bit. I’d prefer something darker that looks more like a Notes/Tasks app and note a Phone Book. Great otherwise.
