Its been a long while since I was so immersed in a game that I ignored the notification on my Blackberry Smartphone that some one was trying to reach me. But today, oh glorious today, something wonderful popped onto my phone that I

just couldn’t ignore! My inner geek gamer climbed out of my heart and took hold. Hotel Tycoon Resort by eFUSION X Ltd, captured me completely.

Now I am a huge fan of games such as SIMS, Harvest Moon, Animal Crack…..oops I mean Crossing, and Pet Society. All the way back to ancient times when the SIMS was mearly building up a city and trying to avoid total environmental disaster. Tiny little ants on the DOS screen they considered people and cars, ahhhh how I fondly remember that dinosaur of a game! This Tycoon game though is all of that, with better updated graphics of course, and a bag of chips.

Myself and my daughter were very excited as we delved into story mode and began to build up our resort. Story mode is not unlike many other games. There is “missions” to accomplish and goals to be reached. The basic idea of the game is that you are a Tycoon’s daughter’s ( that’s a mouth full) boyfriend trying to prove your worth. With each completed mission the Tycoon gives you the salutatory pat on the back and sets you on a new task. The downfall, and I guess the challenge in the game, is that each time you are set on a new mission,

everything you built up before is wiped away. A clean slate at each stage. Almost frustrating, but actually adds a bigger sense of adventure to the entire game play.

There are 8 assorted missions in story mode. Each one progressively more challenging. The upside to this game is the replay value. Although everytime you play, the mission may be the same, your options are wide open.

Hotel Tycoon Resort also offers 4 optional languages on the start up each time you play (English, French, German and Spanish) so you can show it off to all of your friends. There is also a “endless” or free play mode. There is no lag in the simulation either. I was really impressed by how smoothly the entire process seems to move. And like I mentioned before the graphics are very good.

All around I have to say that this little game from eFUSION X Ltd., has really made game play on my Blackberry Smartphone more exciting. I doubt that any time I play, will ever be the same as the last! It is most definitely “demanding simulation with great depth-easy to learn, hard to master”.
