We always get this one guaranteed out-of-the-box stellar product here about every 2 weeks. And that’s HedoneDesign’s themes. His latest was a bit of surprise to everyone but of course has a unique name as well. Let’s have a look at the iLike theme.
Easily the iPhone is the most popular product mimic on BlackBerry Smartphone’s. Or maybe it’s number 2 now that the market has seen it’s flood of OS6 styled themes, some good, some not so. Well HedoneDesign took a backseat to the overkill on the iPhone style now for some 2 years. They choose instead to make their award winning BQC original designs. Reinventing themselves again and again. HedoneDesign has done nothing but set the higher standard. Developers still go to their themes and think, “now how could we make this look HDD good..” Yet only HedoneDesign makes this style. The website at HedoneDesign.com is still the one to look like. Though we prefer Developers have their own style, it’s hard when someone else is so elegant, intelligent and original.
The now Theme Throwdown Champion has decided heck why not make the best looking iPhone style we can because who knows the because, we assume it’s cause they can. And iLike is pretty damn awesome even for me to say this is a big leap. Just from the promo image it’s hard to see what’s so different about iLike from any other iPhone style on BlackBerry. So let’s clarify. Dual wallpaper friendly. The promo says 20 icons (16 on Storm) and 4 on each homescreen are static. At first I wasn’t sure why HDD would do this but after spending some quality time with the theme I can see why and how it works. You have the Phone, Messages, SMS/MMS, and Browser all locked in and it really helps maintain that “real” iPhone feel about it, plus for me having to Dual homescreens allowed me to customize so much I didn’t need 4 more spots to figure out on my own. This is and will be something fans and buyers complain about. Nope no one ever see’s this as a bonus. They must know why they have been forced into having these and so called shorted by the Developer. You haven’t. It’s another bonus 
The homescreens glide left to right and keep rotating quite easily. The icon-set for the most part is similar to the iPhone yet if you look closely most are either much more glossy, shiny and new looking. Move into the Applications View and now your in the land of treats. All white backdrop now. No longer the basic black your used to. And man does it look beyond sexy. I miss quoted the last theme I review sexy.. Wrong!! This is sexy in here. Like a model in white jeans. Your really going to get into this area. Plus each icon wears a simple yet square ring-like outline around the icon when you hover or highlight. Look good, feels great. Then there’s the unseen icons the HedoneDesign theme builders have added to the set to make it complete. Super slick and too many to name. So before you get you manties or (panties) in a twist over the HDD iLike theme I suggest you try it then call me out. Cause you won’t. You’ll like it too.
