Seems it was just yesterday that we were raving about Walker Themes Beat series. His latest iNEW7 is now available and believe it or not this one is also available for all BlackBerry 5.0, 6.0 & 7.0 devices!
iNEW7 is a great looking theme. All icons that can be skinned are skinned. Homescreen features a cool am/pm graphic style, custom battery & signal meters. The theme is also On SALE for $1.99 (down from regular $3.99 price).
It’s so cool to see developers like Walker Themes take so much time to bring a theme like this to life for not only OS 7.x users but still making sure his OS 5.0 & 6.0 users can get a copy. You won’t see that a whole lot anymore. And just because most of us have the newer devices, that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some grateful users on older OS’s.
As for the UI of iNEW7 I’m sure most users can see the reference to another platform. He’s done a good job bringing his own angle to the icons including the slick shadowing and boxy tiles. Feels good to click on the icons just to open em up. For me a great theme is one you can practically feel the art coming alive under your finger tips. Walker owns the night when it comes to breathing new life into the regular old BlackBerry theme that users have to stare down everyday depending on your OS.
Other features like the BB Menu and Homescreen Panel are transparent giving more view to every bit of the theme. Walker Themes always brings wallpaper friendly themes to the table. iNEW7 is no different. Pricing down to $1.99 for launch is just another win imo.
