I have a handful of favorite theme Developers with bleacher-sets in my heart. HedoneDesign sits right in the soft sensitive tissue. Once again they prove that you can really invoke and develop emotion into a theme. At least HedoneDesign can and does like they always have. Here is the latest offering from the Gods, HedoneDesign’s theme Quelos.
Unlike most of the themes from HDD this one is not a million piece puzzle. But lack of complication only increases my intrigue into the mind of one Hedone Hawker, aka the brain, the brawn, the mystery. My first theme from them created a feeling I wasn’t used to. I know now it had something to do with the ability to aware oneself with your surroundings. My BlackBerry seems to vibrate on a higher plane with most HedoneDesign/HDD themes activated. I get downright giddy like girl in a short skirt.
Quelos like I said is rather simple, like their Metalic theme. Seems to be set up for the end user to customize with your favorite photo/wallpaper. At home you have a highly responsive slider peaking behind a gorgeous bezzle that holds up to 12 application, custom (course) that you can quickly zip through and launch your favorite software or native apps. The first four spots when you hover or highlight cause the homescreen picture/paper area to shade or darken. This is a nice place for your Today-style apps like Calendar, SMS, Messages. So yes TodayPlus is present in Quelos unlike the previous Vault theme. Also the DFK (Double Function Keyboard) feature is present. An awesome new style invented by HedoneDesign. DFK enables the option to launch many native apps by simply pressing Shift and a specific key (ie Shift + S launches SMS/MMS or Shift + T will launch the BlackBerry Messenger App and so (check whole list on HedoneDesign’s web site).
I must say the true main attraction here and star actors: the icon-set. Little, custom, different. Oddly almost familiar but oh soo New! Yes a Brand new set of sexy, sassy icons will greet you in the Quelos theme. Not one of HedoneDesigns other themes has any of these unique ladies & gentlemen.
