Here at Berryfication we spend a lot of time using jargon and assuming that our readers know what most of the stuff we say means. And that’s just not the case. So as far as one of the most talked about applications in BlackBerry Smartphone goes, we introduce to you QuickLaunch (QL) by the great NikkiSoft.

This is one of, if not the most well known application ever developed for BlackBerry owners. It goes synonymous with practically every great product built for the BlackBerry Smartphone. To this day a theme will allow compatibility through either touching some area of the homescreen on touch BlackBerry Smartphones (ie 9500 device series) or by using the space bar or letter Q on non-touch devices (all other current BlackBerry Smartphones) which will launch the Application. This is the long strip you see with all the search engines and dot com(s) displayed in the picture above.
I can’t name all the features of NikkiSoft’s QuickLaunch. And they’re constantly adding more. But the short version is that you can add things like your MMS inbox, Google, UberTwitter, an app you purchased just now. Not everything is supported at QL, but updates are often and the features are growing daily. Yes it’s impressive. You can even add individuals to call, sms, email. So if your girls name is April and your tired of the 6 to 8 clicks it takes to even begin a message or phone call. Then add her as a contact to QL and she’s two clicks away. Make sense more now? See the search banner running parallel behind QL in the picture? This is just another wonderful addition. It’ll pull out a banner like this that you can search online with.
QL allows the ability to fully customize the look. You can change the size of the font, color of the font, add a wallpaper to the QL backdrop, even chose the left side or right side where you’d like to see QL launch from. If this is all news to you and you have seen the phrase “quicklaunch written before please keep in mind this is not just in reference to this app. If we or someone else is talking about the NikkiSoft QuickLaunch the Q and L are supposed to be capitalized. OR you’ll more commonly see it written QL and simply that. The definition of a quicklaunch is basically a jump zone or jump to area, button, combination, slider, and so on, that quickly launches something or you into a specific software application.
I think most people who already own QL would say it’s worth every penny paid. I once had to spend a night without QuickLaunch. Yep it wasn’t pretty I had to hit the sac just to deal. I even bought QL twice once off an (unnamed BlackBerry site), then after I finally got tired of the updates causing me to redo everything or not installing properly because of this unnamed sites way of updating I finally decided to go with Mobihand. And QuickLaunch can be backed up, then restored whenever you need to update. I haven’t had any issues since my switch to Mobihand. And for just $4.99 you too can quicklaunch QuickLaunch on your BlackBerry just follow the Get it here link to our Mobihand store.
