The long awaited Smartr Inbox for Gmail and Smartr Contacts for Android are both now publicly available for download by the clever team over at Xobni. And we couldn’t be more excited! As of Tuesday September the 27th, 2011 both Gmail and Android users can now benefit from the new suite of products known as Smartr!

SmartrInbox is a sidebar for Gmail and Google Apps mailthat makes your inbox smarter. It automatically discovers all the people you’ve ever emailed, called or SMS’d, and instantly provides a full view of each contact. The Smartr sidebar includes lightning-fast search to instantly show who your contacts are, how you know them, when you last talked, and who you have in common. In addition, you’ll see their photo, job title, company details, and updates from LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. Video for Smartr Inbox here.
Smartr Contacts is a free app for Android that brings the ultimate in relationship management to your phone.Contacts are easily searchable and Smartr ranks them by importance, not alphabetically. Each profile is complete with a photo, job title, company details, email history, common contacts and info from social networks. The app can be accessed on your phone home screen, via the main search bar, the widgets, or the Smartr app.Video for Smartr Contacts here.

This is a unique post for us here at Berryfication. Considering we are a “blog that supports BlackBerry news & reviews” and neither of these products are on BlackBerry yet. However Xobni has made such a huge impact on how we interact and communicate with our friends in the community. We just couldn’t keep this info to ourselves.

I’ve been using Smartr for Gmail for some time now, and not only have I seen it evolve to very user friendly levels but it’s continued to make using Gmail through Chrome a much more complete social experience. From the “contact indexing to the massively improved ranking algorithms” your going to agree Xobni has something extraordinary going on here!

It’s gimmicky just to add the ability to throw out an update to Facebook or Twitter here and there. But with Smartr I’m able to do more. Switch from Top Contacts to Contacts your following, reply to tweets, retweet tweets, update your status and more!

But then there’s still more! The latest updates introduced users and beta testers to built in themes! Yes you read that right. With Smartr you can fully customize your social experience all way down to the color of your daily mood. I’m really impressed. Hopefully we’ll see some of these changes come to BlackBerry 7.0 as well.
