SRS Call SMS and eMail Spam Blocker is a New All in one Call, Text, & Email Spam Blocking Super App! Developed by newcomers SRS Teknoloji, I can already tell I’m going to like these guys a lot!
I must admit there’s a lot of different apps out now, even some that include a spam filter or call blocker, ect. But this is the first one I’ve used that’s priority & focus is to simply protect you from all this junk.
We all hate spam and SRS Teknoloji (technology) knows how frustrating it can become. Nothing will catch everything. I used to thing GMail did a decent job, then I woke up from that day dream. Sure you can get a new email account and it will stay much cleaner than an older one you might have, but that’s not a reality. Spam must be controlled. SRS..Spam Blocker is a new application and it’s not quite perfect yet. Although they are working with the current users “myself included” and they’ve been reasonably responsive to our needs and they’re updating us steadily.
The actual process is quite simple. From the moment you download it, SRS…Spam Blocker will begin doing it’s thing. It works as a quiet assassin, filtering out those obvious, irritating emails that Yahoo, Live and other mail services slip through. Other features like the SMS, and Call blocking is set up through your settings by setting up Rules. An easy to understand interface. Just add a new rule such as block SMS and your able to really get the gritty out. They’ve thought of everything when it comes to Rules ie block alerts, (ringtone & LED, previous LED, status lost) Even set a Rules Schedule such as “within work hours” “outside work hours” and “weekends” Set these rules for anything and everything, SMS, Mail, Calls. View your logs. Edit specifics whenever, however. Set up only Contact Calls to come through, block unknown numbers. Very clear ideals. I like that. And like I said it’s still a sort of work in progress since they are taking user feedback and applying to the updates many of our suggestings.
I recommend trying the FREE Trial version for sure. That way your not going to have any regrets for the $9.99 price tag which is rather steep. Although I can see this becoming a BlackBerry user household name if they keep up the relationship with users like they have so far. SRS Call SMS and eMail Spam Blocker is available in a separate download for Touch devices ie Storm & Torch users. Plus yes it’s 6.x OS ready so everyone can get a taste.
