Elecite just came flying back onto the BlackBerry theme radar out of nowhere! Just a couple weeks ago they dropped Ambient. Totally custom greatness. Now they’re popping off with Aurora, which makes me more anxious to see Theme Studio 7 news.

The latest theme is OS 5.0 & 6.0 compatible only. Devices include Curve 8900 series, Storm 9500 series, Tour 9630, Bold 9650, 9700, 9780 series and Torch 9800 only.

I recently started up a couple GroupMe groups on my BlackBerry Bold 9930. But realized it wasn’t quite up to par with the other platforms yet. Well as of Monday that all changed! GroupMe v3.0.1 is now available for BlackBerry including all 7.0 devices. And it’s quite good!

For me I see GroupMe as an awesome way to connect with everyone, including developers, friends, industry leaders and more who don’t all share the same platform. A fresh place to get together and connect, and it gets better every update.
NEW Features in GroupMe v3.0
— Questions (Beta) Ask a question to spark a conversation. Use it to plan a night out, chat about something with your friends as it happens, or whatever else you want! Direct it to a few people or an entire group, or even post it to Twitter and Facebook.
— Direct Messaging Send a message directly to another GroupMe user—because sometimes, you don’t need to say it to the whole group. Just tap on a user’s avatar anywhere you see it, and have a one-on-one conversation without ever leaving the app.
— Wed Chat Now you can participate in conversations on GroupMe from the comfort of your desk. When you log in to our website, every group and question you’re participating in will be waiting for your next message, just like in our app. Plus, the website is optimized for mobile browsers, so if your smartphone doesn’t already have the GroupMe app available, you can chat for free wherever you are.
Developer Russell Nash is on an awesome adventure! First he made one of the most unique and ultimately customizable BlackBerry themes, Morph here. Now he’s gotten knee-deep into app development with SpeedNotes! A quick note for some on the go info without having to save it to retrieve it later.

SpeedNotes is compatible with OS 7.0, 6.0 & 5.0! All new BlackBerry devices are fully supported/optimized. There’s even a Full 7 Day FREE Trial of SpeedNotes available for users to try now, should you need a little extra convincing.
SpeedNotes supports sending or saving your note to the following choices:
- A MemoPad entry.
- A file on either your SDCard or BlackBerry store.
- A Calendar entry.
- A Tasks / ToDo entry.
- An Email.
- An SMS message.
- A PIN message.
- The BlackBerry clipboard.
Existing notes can also be loaded into SpeedNotes from the following choices:
- A MemoPad entry.
- A file from either your SDCard or BlackBerry built in storage.
Time to announce some contest winners again! We’ve been a tad quite here the last couple weeks, and hope to see some great new products coming out for PlayBook and BlackBerry 7 devices! We did manage to secure some licenses to the awesome CrunchSMS update as well as some Slacker Premium Radio certificates!

CrunchSMS now brings optimized 7.0 compatibility as well as some addicting new features! Our friends at Slacker Premium Radio were great enough to hook up 5 three month subscriptions to their Premium services as well!
Our good friend Jake over a Vision Mobility has been stacking ‘em up & knocking ‘em out lately. After he sent the files for Cerebral over and my Bold 9650/6 lit up and looked blast like hand blow glass, I got choked up! Dang homie, this theme is slick!

Cerebral comes filled with vibrant colored unique icons skinned onto each and every app. Compatibility for 8330, 8350, 8520, 8530, 8900, 9300,9330 series, Tour 9630, Bold 9650, 9700, 9780 and Torch 9800 OS5-6.0
Kurai by Pootermobile of TWP is so much fun! This round your favorite theme builder rolls the clock back a bit. Notice the icons are coined from the BlackBerry 4.x days, blended with a style we can’t get enough of and your set-up. P-mob made another sick theme!

The World Of Pootermobile has also updated recently, the site looks fantastic! You might want to check it out here http://theworldofpootermobile.com.
Yes we’ve covered this gem before. And bbt Designs put a lot of time and care into both styles. Bottom line is iLike & iLike OS7 are both superior themes. Honestly I thought they couldn’t get any better, but bbt saw it differently. The recent updates add quite a bit, including UI enhancements!

v1.1.0 change log:
*** File name CHANGED! This download will NOT replace your previous iLike OS7 download, as it is now renamed to “iLikeOS7″ (no space). With manually compiling, the system apparently does not like spaces, which was causing iLike OS7 to replace iLike on some devices. I am sorry for any inconvenience this caused. I am very happy I was able to find a fix! You can now run iLike and iLikeOS7 simultaneously with no problem. ***
* Embossed banner items, just like on iOS! Even on clock and coverage!
* Slightly larger, more i-accurate banner images (battery/signal/wifi).
* Slightly enlarged, bolder banner item font for improved visibility and more accurate representation of iOS banner font.
* Several bug fixes and enhancements to Home screen, including a bug where, when in Options Panel, and Today Area was launched on Keyboard devices, the Today Panel would be incorrectly placed.

Just a couple days ago our friends over at Delicious Inc let us know their highly popular CrunchSMS application for BlackBerry had updated. Today they’ve bumped it up another level to v3.13! And we’ve got a few premium licenses to share with you!

v3.13 September 5th, 2011 Updates
• Optimized performance, especially for OS 7 devices.
• Reorganized the Options screen.
• Preparing for Emoji interoperability with iPhone & Android devices for the next Release 3.14!!
It’s great to see the first team to reach worldwide success is still pushing out high quality themes for fans and new comers alike. Elecite is the team, Ambient is their latest theme. This is the reason I’m still holding onto the BlackBerry 6 device as well. Good thing too!

Ambient is BlackBerry 5 & 6 compatible only for select devices. Curve 8900 series, Storm 9500 series, Tour 9630, Bold 9650, 9700 & 9780, plus Torch 9800. I’ve been running my copy on the Bold 9650 and it’s absolute brilliance.
