Finnish game developer 10tons Ltd have made a big impact on BlackBerry PlayBook gamers in a very short time. Well just like the PlayBook, 10tons have already brought this fantastic collection over to the BlackBerry Z10! Including Dragon Portals (a classic from from iOS).
I’ve fallen in love with all these games again on just the Dev Alpha A (patiently waiting for either the one from BlackBerry or Verizon Wireless, we’ll need 2 for our family). King Oddball has got to be one of the best games ever made. Sparkle smokes other games in that genre. Pick up Azkend, Puzkend or Azkend 2 and you’ll know the addiction 10tons brings to gamers. And maybe my second favorite Boom Brigade 2 has taken hours of joy from my casual days.

I picked Flow Pie up for one of our PlayBooks a week or two back. But it wasn’t till recently when I started playing it and also realized the game was available on my handheld that I fell madly in love with it. The premise is simple, yet addictive. Match the same colors but don’t overlap. Some levels will have you moving right through them, while others will take a fair amount of cognitive thinking.

Thanks to Jenny from RIM for featuring this one in the App World carousel. I was badly in need of a new game after looking through RIM’s new line-up of premium games & apps (including 3rd-party products) coming to BlackBerry 10. It would only make sense that developers want to have their product ready with all the promotions RIM is doing right now. But Naught really offers something different. The controls have me twisting my PlayBook and feeling like I’m in a world where gravity pushes and pulls you in 360 degrees.

[Update] BlackBerry PlayBook OS – Now v2.1.0.1314
This morning while sipping my coffee at 6:30am I was pleasantly surprised when my Twitter feed filled up with posts about a new BlackBerry PlayBook OS! It wasn’t a big change, v2.1.0.1314 offers support for AIR and Flash for developers. But an update is an update.
To get your PlayBook tablet updated simply pull down the Settings Menu from the top of your screen> Select Software Updates> Choose Check for Updates> Plug into a power source> Select Install. And enjoy!
