Sometimes it can be difficult to weigh in just how tech, appropriate and well designed a theme really is to the end user. Theia by Mobster Mobile Design is a theme that makes me want my BlackBerry to be seen! It makes me want to ROAR!
Before this theme was live in App World, it was already a hit. Theia makes it’s beautiful impression on all BlackBerry devices running 5.0 to 6.0 and I mean all of em.
Mobster Mobile Design continues their journey through the different possibilities design allows. I love them. I love the last few themes and I especially love Theia.
When Mobster makes themes she makes every pixel by hand. The 2 colors of the icons pop right off the light carbon styled wallpaper. It’s so intricate to see her evolve with each product. Jennifer is a genius. I can see her influences from Elecite with the added dashboard appeal, but then she pulls it in her very distinct direction. Clean layout, options to keep things tidy yet techy and access to all things hardcore BlackBerry users use.
You have the 5+ user defined icon spots at home, favorite spot (weather optional), tight clean clock, signal and battery meters, and then comes my 4 favorites.. meticulously constructed launch icons for Twitter, Facebook, Application screen and Quick launcher for (Profiles, Ringtones, Options, and Connections). It does help if you have the new BlackBerry Twitter and Facebook both from the Beta Zone installed. I truly believe that if RIM had this kind of ammo, a theme like this to launch with their new devices they could swipe a huge portion of would-be Android users. Mobster reinvents your BlackBerry with Theia.
From beta to the final build I have nothing but compliment for this product. At $3.99 if you like what you’ve seen then you’ll love what you get. Theia was not officially judged by our BQC team but I give it a 10/10.. the third perfect theme I’ve ever held.
