[Update Available] BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0.1.668
This morning when RIM announced the release of their much-anticipated 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook, they also mentioned it will come pre-loaded with Tablet OS 2.0.1.668. And for users with Wi-Fi PlayBooks like myself and the rest of you, we too can download this update straight away. What’s the 2.0.1 update consist of? That’s a good question. RIM only states that the update is a “maintenance update”.
Keep in mind developers and users that took to the Tablet OS 2.1.0.560 beta may have to use the reload instructions originally created for BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha users. Download the PDF here. You’re on your own with this however, since I haven’t seen anything officially released about 2.1.0 users. CrackBerry is steadily building momentum on what users have found to be new in the 2.0.1.668 release. And we wouldn’t be surprised if this or another avenue has worked for users. For everyone on an official PlayBook OS, please go into your software updates and select “Check For Updates” follow instructions to complete this OTA update.
