It’s been a long time since we’ve seen the likes of HedoneDesign. Awesome to see them punch right back into the clock that RIM built. Wakai is something else. Another power theme with an invigorating ambiance.


Wakai in Japanese means “forever young” or “eternally youthful” The theme is compatible with HD’s usual line up. 5.x to 6.0 OS that includes most 5.0 theme builds and Curve 9300 series, Bold 9650, 9700, 9780, and Torch 9800.


I feel like HedoneDesign has one hand on the earth and the other in the sky when I look at this theme. The span is endless. We’re lucky to have a team like them still sharing their groundbreaking work with us. There’s something to be said about that. It’s evident that they truly enjoy building themes for BlackBerry devices.

Check out the big 7 and 6 in the background. Your thinking clock maybe..? Wrong! The left number is your Battery signal and the right is your Signal strength. Very cool! This is one of the first things I fell in love with. That, the images and the gentle approach this theme takes on the screen. All marry’s up beautifully.

The app screen is another treasure to unfold. The custom icons are great, maybe a tad smaller than my taste but they do look great together. Navigating around the environment feels airy and fresh.
