We have no idea what WJD Designs has been up to between Opake and now but I think I speak for all of the BlackBerry theme lovers when I say “welcome home Wayne!”

XDroid is one of the best themes I’ve ever used. From the second I received the email in my mailbox, about the special offer sent out to WJD Designs subscribers maybe 2 seconds past before it was in my cart! It felt like I won a few thousand dollars on a slot machine. Equal parts surreal and unreal. Wayne made a Droid X theme and it’s lovely.

Between the Five Point Nine theme and Clockwork Animated I truly thought I had my favorite theme picked out. Actually maybe it was Opake. Snap! All the last 4 released by WJD Designs are my personal favorites, nuff said!! ;) With all their themes the industry has seen a huge influx of copy-cats and Wayne has even inspired some really awesome themes that brought their own flavors. XDroid will do the same. It’s only a matter of days. But this one is it’s own best in class from it’s clean lightweight homescreen to the big beautiful icons on the Storm2 & 1 devices. Maybe it’s not for everybody but it’s one awesome New force to be reckoned with.

Features like the Calendar|Messages Widgets, you can activate by pressing alt + 1 to show the Calendar. alt +2 to hide it. Then alt + 3 to show Messages Widget and alt + 4 to hide it. Storm2 and 1 just touch the left side of the screen. Touch below the top notification banner (left side) to activate Calendar, then slightly below for the Messages. Again to hide. Then you’ve got the badass 3 icon Droid X built launchers. 1 for the Phone app. 2 for the Application view screen. 3 for the Contacts app. You’ve never seen these icons before. They are ripped from Open Source Android structure. Making them highly original to the wonderful world of BlackBerry we live in. This is a masterpiece. I suggest checking it out for sure.
